  • "What lies beneath" Embroidery Course with Magda

    Saturday 25th July 10am - 3.30pm

    Learning how to hand-embroider Summer Seaside Shells, bringing some sunshine into your day.  During the workshop, you will be shown a number of stitches including stem, satin, chain, split and French knots, all enabling you to complete your design in the comfort of your own home.

    All equipment will be provided for use on the day including a seat frame, daylight lamp and scissors, but be sure to bring any reading glasses if required!

    In addition, you will take home a full embroidery kit which will include pre-printed fabric, needle, instructions on the stitches, a thread card loaded with stranded cottons and tissue paper all wrapped up in a box.

    £50 per person

  • Teddy Bears Trail and Picnic

    Teddy Bear's Trail and Picnic

    Wednesday 29th July  2pm - 4pm

    Bring your children to the Hub to collect their map, then they will make their way around the village to find the teddy bears cheekily hiding in trees and bushes. 

    On completion of the trail they will be rewarded with a free ice cream.

    Bring a picnic and have a party on the grass in front of the Hub - a few picnic blankets will be available.

    For children up to the age of 11 years.

    The cost is £1.00 per child, no need to book

    We are pleased to be working with the NHS to offer FREE health checks.

    Are you aged 40 - 74? even though you might be feeling great, if you ae over forty you may be at risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes or dementia. These FREE NHS health checks can help you reduce these risks and make sure you stay healthy,

  • Get crafty this summer

    Get crafty this summer

    Wednesday 12th August
    2pm - 3.30pm

    Design your own T-Shirt.

    A chance to draw a design or make a collage which we will then photograph and print onto a T-shirt.

    Drawings can be pre-made at home, if they’d like to spend more time on their design, or they can come in and create their design at the Hub. We will provide paper, coloured crayons, pencils and a white short sleeved cotton t-shirt.

    The cost, including the T-Shirt, is £5.


  • Kids Summer Walk

    Kids Summer Walk

    Wednesday 26th August 10am - 11.30am

    Start and end at the Fernhurst Hub, with a free ice cream on return!

    Fancy a free outdoor activity during the summer holidays? Why not join a children's walk to Fernhurst Furnace, across the fields and through the woods. It is about a 3 miles round trip and will take about 1.5 - 2 hours. Suitable for children aged 7+ and they must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please also ensure they have suitable footwear. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. 

  • Castles, Palaces and Mansions - a talk by Iain Kennedy

    Thursday 1st October 7.30pm - 9pm

    Why not delight in a short jaunt through English history via some of our country’s most magnificent buildings - from 1066 to the height of Victorian splendour.

    £12 per person

  • Repair cafe  at Fernhurst Hub

    Repair Cafe

    Next event Saturday 10th October 10am - 1pm

    Don't throw away your broken toasters, toys or trousers, book them in by clicking the link below and bring them to the Hub to see if our wonderful repairers can restore them to working order with their skill and expertise.

    We’re charging a £2 registration fee to cover costs and hope you will donate to the Hub, if you can, when the item is repaired.
